Really, Switzerland! I wonder if he did that? Possible, he has the stinger and a pickup so he can be without for a week. I had no idea. I tuned my ecoboost long before it was out of warranty. I have a 87 tune, 93 and a E30 tune. that puts me at 265 hp and 350 ft lbs torque out of a little 2.0. It is out of warranty now and I thought about big turbo but i don;t care. i am putting my $$$ in the suspension. that is where I have fun. corners. If I wanna go fast i jump on my liter bike and ripI wish I could get my car tuned for no other reason than to disable the "cold start" (the process that warms the cats up and pisses off the neighbors), but right now, there is only one person in the world that can crack the ECU's. You have to send them to Switzerland for a week. They're legit, but I still have warranty in effect, too.
I want another sports car toy. I am trying to decide now if I want another Benz like a GT63 or if I am gonna get a GT500. I looked at the Camaro ZLI with the track pack but I like the GT500 better.Well I guess I probably should have said mine isn't a Stinger. It's an M5. I bought it during my second mid-life crisis when I made a lot more money. Now it's a fucking financial anchor, but I still love it.
The next M5's seven-year cycle begins next month, with the adoption of electrification. I absolutely refused to have any of that shit in an M car so picked up one of the last pure ICE M5's on 2/8/23 in Spartanburg, SC. Leaks show the next M5 is going to be a bit of a disappointment, so I'm hoping that may create some demand so I can unload mine. I'll still have to take a loan to cover the gap, but hopefully I can make that gap more narrow.
Have you looked to see if Bimmercode can disable that "feature" for you? I turned off some things with our X5M and X3M40 that were annoying. There are no warranty issues yet only crappy thing is you have to recode after every software update.Well I guess I probably should have said mine isn't a Stinger. It's an M5.
