Wow. 750 at 198 is just insane!!!!
Yea he hit 733 at boss of bosses a few months back, and he is looking significantly stronger. Here is his 3rd attempt with 733, and one thing to consider is he missed 733 on his second as the bar got out in front of him a bit, so he took 2 attempts here which is extremely taxing. I really think he might have had 745-50 that day, in a perfect world, knowing his lifting as well as I do. He also should bench 460-+ and I would say if he stays healthy squat 640ish in sleeves.

What about attempting to go that fast for the average person? Don't you risk tearing a bi?

A back injury would be more likely. You can keep the triceps flexed even when jerk g the bar. But if that bar shifts away from you your back is in a bad spot.

You shouldn't worry about maybe mimicking someone else. It's all about leverages and ability

Some guys are just naturally explosive like this. I coach one out of new York. 500 plus benches at 242. He moves 405 like I move 135. It's just how he does it.

You don't have that. You tend to move more slowly. I wouldn't focus so much on speed work in your case. Just stay focused on your own technique as you are still very new.

Yea, he is just explosive in nature. Always could sprint fast, jump high etc. And on the other hand we have some really strong lifters who are VERY slow. I know you have seen the young kid we have. He benches 400+ at 165, and everything over 315 looks like he is going to miss it, it is sooo slow..lol I have to spot him different than most because if I grab everything that looks like it isn't going to go, he would still be benching 315..lol

I think one should think push/pull the bar with the intent of moving fast, but they might never actually be fast(if that makes sense).
