For anyone who might be interested, these are images of the normal anatomy and what a ruptured pectoral muscle actually looks like, as well as the surgical intervention.

Note the five evenly spaced anchors with suture along the insertion site (I) and the ruptured pectoralis major muscle (P) held by forceps.
