How does his squat keep improving so fast??

I know he changed to a low bar stance instead of a high bar, but how is his strength going up so much??

He trains hard

It's hard to make huge leaps when you're already top dog. A monster ex-bodybuilder that Eddy Coan trained started lifting with the Lilliebridges and has been pushing Eric a bit. Dude's name is Derek. Keep an eye out for him.

Eric and the Ernies have everything - the genetics to make it happen, an absolutely grueling work ethic, solid diet, and know how to get the most out of their supplementation..... no doubt Eric will keep pushing the bar higher, but watch out for Ernie Jr to smash Dan Green's 220 record soon too. Ernie was one slippery deadlift bar away from a MONSTER total at the same meet.

Derek is really impressive!

He was repping 530 on bench in their latest video. And the videos of him and Eric going back and forth on squats in training were just incredible.

Their speed with 900+ pounds was like a warm up.

I can't even imagine being at that level on squats.

Being able to rep 530 on bench must be an awesome feeling.

How long have Eric and Derek been lifting? How long did it take them to get to where they are now?
