Has anyone been following This? The Dietary Supplement Health Education act (DSHEA). The FDA has sent out a new plan to better regulate supplements before they are sold. I know this has been around for a couple of years now. There is an article in the FEB 2012 issue of Muscle and Fitness explaining the new guidelines with attorney Rick Collins. I was just curious what everyone's thought is on the new guidelines. I will try to post the guidelines from the article.

These guidelines won't go far. The same legislators that worked to pass the laws that FDA says enables these regs, are calling FDA back on the carpet saying that the proposed regs are far beyond the intent of the authorizing bill.

seems to me that the FDA likes to propose these kinds of things almost every year. One of my friends here in town owns a couple of supplement shops and I asked him about this kind of thing and he just laughed, saying it won't go anywhere. Didn't really go into much more detail than that.
