So, yeah,it's supposed to be something you take after 40, and I'm aware that it won't take me down a huge notch to get a big bottle and stop taking it when it runs out, but will it affect my natural production? Is their a single study on this?

@Goldenpuncher the body synthesizes CoQ10 through the mevalonate pathway, the same pathway used to produce cholesterol. This process occurs primarily in the liver and is influenced by diet, age, and certain medications (e.g., statins, which inhibit this pathway and reduce CoQ10 levels). Unlike some hormones (e.g., testosterone), where external supplementation can suppress natural production via feedback loops, CoQ10 doesn’t appear to have a strong feedback mechanism that halts its synthesis. Studies suggest that supplemental CoQ10 increases plasma and tissue levels without consistently reducing endogenous production.

Meta-Analysis on Oxidative Stress (2020, Comprehensive Reviews in Food Science): Arenas-Jal et al. found that CoQ10 supplementation (100–300 mg/day) increases antioxidant capacity and reduces oxidative stress markers (e.g., malondialdehyde). The study implies that supplementation supports cellular function without disrupting endogenous CoQ10 synthesis, though it doesn’t directly measure production rates.

Thanks!,;aYou seem tp know a lot, although if their was a diagram or study specifically showing Ubiquinone(coq10) production plain and simply not being reduced post erogenous use, that would be helpful, None the less I have a general idea people don't talk about feeling taken down a notch after Coq10 withdrawal sets in.
