Recently an old fried of mine told me his wife has colon cancer that has metastasized, spreading to the liver and one lung.

Here's what has me pissed da fuuk off. She took an at home colon screening test; Cologuard. That test was done a year and half ago and came back negative. There's no way in hell with the slow progression of colon cancer she didn't have it a year and a half ago. We are being sold a bill of goods with this at home test and it is costing a lot of people in a big way.

A short read with the facts:

Take the day off and get your colonoscopy. Don't let being lazy cost you several good years of your life. The recommended age for your first one has dropped from 50 y.o. to 45 y.o.

Fuck, I hate hearing this brother. However, the issue with the at home tests do not surprise me. I am so tired of shit like this happening. Products used to be made in the benefit of the consumer, now it is the other way around.

If caught in the colon and removed, the 5 year survival rate is 90%. Once it metastasizes, that rate drops to 15%. Try telling that to a good friend.

Cologuard is just a screening test. It is not supposed to and does not replace a colonoscopy. A positive result is not a diagnosis. And a negative result does not confirm the absence of cancer.

Exactly! There is no reason for it. I may as well just ask my dog if I have cancer.

have them reach out to dr william makis, he is doing some amazing things with IVERMECTIN & FENBENDAZOLE in the role of reducing cancer and the spread… he maybe in canada, but might be able to help them find a great doctor that doesnt hurt her too bad with chemo and radiation…

I'll pass that on. You know how Dr. are when you outside their S.O.P. so I passed this on and told the husband to go in there with his facts. They may have to educate their Oncologist.

You're a good man! Thank you!

Most doctors will laugh but there is research and testing going on that show these drugs efficacy…

If their doc says no or laughs it off id ask for as many options opinions and doctors as possible

And yes their sop usually includes chemo, radiation and all sorts of other stuff which in some cases is good rate of survival…… other cases is not so good… seek all options

You know, I do the actual analytical/technical testing on the Cologuard samples and I am actually a bit confused about it too. I guess it's just supposed to be an easier option for people at average risk. Without knowing more about your friend and his wife and her family and medical history, it's hard for me to say whether her doctor's recommendation for Cologuard over a colonoscopy was appropriate for her or whether she should have just gone with the Colonoscopy initially instead.

However, I am sorry that this is the situation. As number one, a cancer patient myself and number two, as an employee of the company that ultimately failed her.

There actually is stuff out there about how dogs can pick up on the fact that someone has cancer before they themselves are aware of that fact. Last I saw, it wasn't reliable enough but still very interesting nonetheless.
