I've been using straps for several years now... My grip strength started going away in my late 40's. Now that I'm in my 50's it's not very good at all. But, to each their own... Use them, don't use them, doesn't matter to me. I'm going to keep doing what works for me...

I started using straps about 2 years ago because my grip was poor and getting worse. (I'm in my late 40s). Since using straps I've seen a genuine improvement in my back development, since my form is better, and I'm able to use heavier weight. So for me, it's made a positive difference.

I really only use straps for shrugs, deads, and bent over rows. I've been using them for the past 15 years. If I didn't, then my forearms would inflame from the stress when doing those exercises.

^ This is me to a T. I may occasionally use for pull ups too if I'm going for max reps

I use straps while stretching my back, hanging from a bar. I want as little tensing of any muscles while trying to stretch my back. No straps you tighten up your forearms, lats and more instinctively which prevents a good stretch.

I may start using them when I do calf raises on the smith machine while holding the bar behind my but (like a shrug).

Nope but did for years. Probably still would if it wasnt for someone stealing my gym bag.

I'm for straps, I don't think it hurts you by using them, only helps get more weight with them. I need to get a pair of leather ones though because these velvet ones are starting to burn my wrist! Sometimes that pain is awesome, but later on at work, it's a mf.

Don't like to deadlift with them much but rows and pullups I like them a lot.

Yes and no.Do and have plenty of times in the past but not regularly.I don't go max any more so I usually dont need them plus I feel using them only limits developing your grip strength.Yea,you can pull more wt with them but IMO if I cant pull it without them,I cant lift the weight.

I use them. Helps me focus more on the muscle group I'm working instead of worrying about my grip.
