Environmental estrogens aren't just lurking in plastics these days. Cattle of this day and age are not the pasture fed beef of yester-year.
Modern farmers keep their cows on milk producing hormones and they stay pregnant near year round. Cows lactate during their entire pregnancy. Bottom line is that estrogens and progesterones spikes in their milk espically during 2nd half of pregnancy.
Many studies have shown a link between hormone related diseases and high milk consumption. A blind study had men drink 600ml of milk and the results showed not only a raise in estradiol and progesterone, but also a drop in LH, FSH and Testosterone! Children and Women were also tested and experienced similar degrees of hormonal imbalance
It has been determined that female steroid hormones are found more in the fat of dairy products so keep intake low and stay with 1% or fat-free. Just a heads up!
