The biggest thing for me dieting down, is the mental part..... Its all in your head that you are getting smaller. We all are programmed to grow and be big all the time.

Last year I was 278 lbs and started dieting for a local show. At first I was concerned after the water came off that I was loosing mass as well. It was a real mental challenge for me to accept I might loose some mass to get to contest shape. I started in January and by June I was 240 lbs with size 32" waists. What blew me away was that peole were telling me I was huge and looked bigger even though I was 40 lbs lighter. That kind of settled it for me, that when you ripped you do look bigger, and feel better too.
Point is it took 6 months, little at a time for me. Patience, clear goal in mind, perserverence, are essential.
