I’ve been on an Amaro kick for the summer. If you like the Fernet try Averna or Ramazotti amaro with some red vermouth and a splash of seltzer. It’s like Miller Lite for the sophist-a-macated gentleman.
Haha nice, haven’t tried Amaro, but def going to buy it this Friday. Which Red Vermouth do you get? How much are you adding? Thanks Mike! Love new stuff!

Has anyone every tried Malort?
https://www.jeppsonsmalort.com/
or Cynar?
Cynar is a type of amaro as is Fernet. Cynar is ok but tastes a little like flat Coke. As for vermouth I like Cinzano (Italy’s Budweiser) 1:1;1 ratio of Amaro/Vermouth/Seltzer.
If you haven’t had Campari it’s also technically amaro.

Cynar is okay, not my favorite, but I also don’t like artichokes so why would I like Cynar lol

I’ve had Campari a long time ago, might have to try that one again, don’t remember it.

@Lizard King if and when we travel again, if you pass through Chi-town, stop by RPM Italian and try all Fernets! they have some delicious ones!

Campari, Hendricks Gin and Cinzano is my go to cocktail when eating Italian.
