Depends on the area and the demographics @SAD . Where @2ez is working, the co-morbidity is the real killer. I'm not offended at your post at all bro, you are seeing it first hand but how many are smokers, how many with diabetes, how many with COPD, that's all I'm saying. We are seeing the death rates fall amongst moderately health people and the health ones that die are the anomaly that need to be figures out.
My wife is an RN, she wears double PPE when she sees patients due to being a severe asthmatic. It sucks, but it needs to be done.

Very true and COVID-19 is a SARS-COV2 virus engineered by design to wipe out the elderly and the unhealthy.

The only thing I can say is keep up the good work and keep stockpiling the $$$. Get it while you can. I feel your pain. Most people don’t understand the stress that you go through, but we do the best we can.

What has pissed me off is that while the pandemic is still happening, where I live people are forgetting this and no longer practicing proper hygiene and keeping stuff clean.

This is NOT true. Cancer patients are still getting cancer and need surgery and treatments. People in accidents still need treatment. I can go on, but I think you get the point.

What do you expect the Pres to do, lock down the whole country again? That's leading to more mental health issues, more alcohol issues, more domestic abuse issues, bankruptcy, etc.... I'm sure Cuomo has the answer.
PPE supply chain has caught up and is in excess. Number of overall deaths per infection is down, ICU is down per infected, it's a virus, it doesn't go away.

10th Amendment to the Constitution. States have to deal with this, the feds/President are limited in power.

I don't know anyone who has died of Covid. I know 2 that have shot themselves dead this summer.

5 to 7 dead ?...even eod would effect anyone. This Virus can be a special kind of cunt and just destroy families, my cousin lost her husband and the 2 girls were destroyed just devastated, I think we all want the same thing and their is no need to fight about this bs even if you believe different on how to live around covid-19.

Round 2?
Hell, where I live we didn't have a round one...
Sorry your hospital sucks 2ez. Glad they can afford to pay you a quarter million dollars a year to work there. But if your highly educated well funded medical professionals there can't find their ass with both hands on this medical issue, it hardly seems fair to blame Trump for their failure. Sounds like they are just dumb as fuck about what to do (as is Biden) and looking for a scapegoat.

I’m not getting into a debate/pissing Match. I will say this and be done.

ICU RN for 20 years. I see My teen child even caught Covid from their step-mom. Kids live with me. I wasn’t worried. I began a supplement program (on top of their current one). I started them on zpack and HCQ. They and and myself were fine.

The life expectancy speaks for itself across all ages. The sad metabolic shape of Americans is the problem. It’s caught via respiratory but acts more metabolic. The low amount of deaths SOLEY speak for itself.

be wise. Be cautious. If you or family have a co-morbidity then yes, you are more at risk. No one denies that. It CAN kick the s... out of you, no deniers that either.

CDC just said masks don’t work 70% of the time.

WHO just said the lockdown was a mistake.
If you’re going to be like the many worshiping everything the CDC am d WHO says then you need to taken their word in this as well.

Lastly, once someone gets something in their head, the vast majority of those will never change their mind. It becomes “locked” essentially and no rational discussion or evidence will matter.

done.

As of yesterday, we have one complete floor of Covid + patients, and more will come....not ICU, but regular medical surgical, not requiring intensive / critical care. What is troublesome, is that during round 1, the Covid Pts were completely separate from all the others. Now they mixed Covid with Non-covid....same floor just different rooms. we have portable computers....so I would grab one and sit away from the other nurses and doctors.

Environmental workers...those that clean the rooms, they go in and out of each room....usually they reserve the Covid rooms for the end of the day. this was not how it were done during the first round. everything was separate.

Lastly, i worked a Postop floor over the weekend. one of my patients 27yr old Pretty Lady, an ICU nurse from another facility. Auto accident. hit a pole. Both hips fractured. rib fractures, seems since the first round, she has not done well mentally. the deaths, the environment, the lack of protective equipment. she turned to alcohol and has been severely depressed. the Psyche notes state since the population for Covid Patients has increased....she has become that much more challenged. Unfortunately, this is not a unique story. I had school teachers, a Police and others express the same sentiment and are struggling.

I am not sure how it has affected me . I stay away from my daughters. I last seen my girls, Fathers Day, this past June. before this, i saw them in February or early March. my last 2wk paycheck i clocked 180 hours...so 90hrs per week, i try to stay busy. as you can imagine well over $200k in salary for the year with 3 months to go.....but at what cost.

Your President has not taken this seriously.

Actually it is America that has not taken it seriously. There are treatments available and people are scared to take them. There are effective prophylactics available and most of America refuses to listen. I have been on a prophylactic dose of hydroxychloroquine for almost 3months now since my wife contracted it. I have not tested positive. My wife reversed the symptoms in 24 hours and has not had any further issues or tested positive. The sooner we all wake up and quit listening to the media and those on the left the sooner we can quit hiding under tables and being afraid. Heart problems over hydroxychloriquine.......I had a FULL battery of heart test done since I started taking this stuff. Absolutely NO heart issues. My cardiologists was even made aware of this treatment. All of this was done at one of the best cardiology centers in the USA.....DeBakey Cardiology Center.

The big problem is people are waiting until it is kind of late to get anything done. Most are being sent home and told to come back if they feel worse. This virus MUST be treated withing 4 days of the onset of symptoms. Waiting to see if your test is positive is a waste of time since it usually take up to 10 days. You could be in vary bad shape by time you find out.

Not sure why the president is being blamed for anything........other than this seems to be the latest liberal attack. I am sure Joe Biden will do better, like he did with H1N1. This president has sure pushed treatments and in fact says a vaccine may not be needed since there are lot of effective treatment. If a 74 year old President can test positive, show symptoms and stop this virus after 24 hours and test negative twice in less that 7 days then maybe its time the medical community wake up and start doing their jobs of saving patients. This President did say not to be scared and not let this virus dominate your life. So far the media, left and much of the medical community has worked over time to scare people to death, shit on any treatment, shit on the vaccine and work over time to destroy a global economy.

And this is another challenge. Patients needing medical attention that are not Covid + patients. Extremely extremely emergent...not just emergent cases were performed.

Doctors picked and chose.

The Doctors and hospitals cherrypicking which non-covid patients they would treat is not that disimilar than that of a single payer or socialist healthcare system.

The weight of the response lies with the governors as stated above and the prez is just there for support that the state MUST request. It seems as he was damned if he did and damned if he didn't. Step in without that request and he is violating the constitution but that gets overlooked even though he was ready and willing to help had they just reached out their hand
