I started out Skinny fat around 2019-2020, I looked like this at 44 yrs old:

I worked with a bunch of trainers and joined UGBB shortly after.

I had a heart condition (a-flutter) that I got fixed with an ablation. I was in heart failure for about 18 months because of it, so that slowed down my progress considerably. I recovered completely from it though.

I do a 5 day split right now, 2 days on, one day off: Legs, Chest, Back, Shoulders, and Arms.

I log workouts on the Hevy app, so I'll occasionally post the logs to here in spreadsheet format.

I'm 50 yrs old currently, 190 lbs, 6'1".

Here's a comparison I just did of me from 8/2024 - current 9/2025.

It's a grind for me. I make really slow progress, but every time I look at a year over year progress pic I am happy and it keeps me motivated.

You make slow progress? I think mine is measured in geologic time.

Chemical usage has changed from trying lots of different things, to sticking with what gels the best for me with the least amount of sides then blasting tf out of it.

If I had to pick the things that have had the most impact, I'd say test, mast, deca, tirzepatide.

I do take a lot of anti aging type supplements as well though.

I don't want to get into dosages because everybody is different and I've learned over time what I can take while still maintaining good bloodwork, blood pressure, and no sides. In the beginning if I had tried to do what I'm doing now it would have been a disaster. So there has been a huge learning curve. I don't want new guys to think "I can safely blast a gram of deca and get these results."

My programming is kinda like a 5 day bro split, legs, chest, back, Shoulders, arms, but it's customized for a few lagging body parts, so it's a little more complicated than it sounds. But it's what I've been making gains on this whole time.

You've made outstanding progress this past year! Well done, you're looking great! Do you have any particular goal for the next 12 months?

Thanks! Still just trying to add some more mass. I'm only 190 lbs at 6'1".

Once I got this lean, I vowed never to go over 15% bf again; I just love the way I look now. So it will be a lean bulk. I'd love to hit 200 this lean.

That's absolutely achievable. Slow and steady wins the race! Getting 10 pounds of lean mass in one year may be a challenge, but 10 pounds over two years is doable. Not saying one year is not possible, but you'll have to be firing on all cylinders, and really be dialed in constantly.

There was nobody in the gym and I started fucking around posing, and some lady walked in on me. We had a good laugh together. She said "you look gooood!" and gave me the thumbs up lol.

My bodyweight has been hanging around 192 lately. Bodyfat about the same. Making some gains slowly still.

Had to make some changes to my leg program though. Squatting 405+ was just causing me knee issues and lately the return of some back issues. So I started doing more reps with lighter weight and trying to get deeper. It seems ok so far. I'm getting good leg workouts in despite not going as heavy. Adjusting to being an old man.
