Took almost 4 months off last year due to a torn bicep tendon, which was not repaired.

Started lifting again in mid November. It was sad. Really sad. I felt like I was starting over. Seriously.

This week I deadlifted 525, squatted 495, benched 315. Not super impressive for sure but....I think I am almost back in the game. Competing in April RPS Spring Supremacy in Utica.

49 years old.....

5 plate squat no belt:

I do not know enough to comment on the wisdom of an unrepaired biceps tendon.

But, holy shit man, are you sure you're taking your squats deep enough? Lol old man, much respect from another of our species.

Solid squat but a lot of movement in the set up after unracking the bar. I'd try to limit that which will help not waste any energy. Keep stacking those plates on the bar.

Duly noted I think I was just a bit nervous as I haven't had this much weight on my back in over 7 months.

I am looking to get past 600 before I turn 50 this summer.

I tore and did not repair a bicep tendon in my right arm about 13 years ago. Still gives me a little twings from time to time. Mine was the most painful injury i have ever had. Keep grinding buddy.
