Maintain a good diet, I also like to wreck shop on a buffet once every couple of weeks

I used to love to wreck the buffets when I was younger - I do it less often now. I'd hit up the Pizza Hut and Ryan's buffets near my college probably once a week each back when I was in school. Now that money isn't such an issue, on the rare occasions when I feel like really pigging out at a buffet, I'll usually hit up a nearby casino's buffet and chow down on prime rib, lobster, shrimp, crab, etc.

Back when I was a starving college student I lived on chicken thighs, cheap ground beef, eggs, whole milk, peanut butter, bananas, wheat bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, hamburger helper, and a few meals out a week.

Once I got done with school and started making decent money, I swore off hamburger helper and also started buying better cuts of beef - ground chuck, a few steaks and roasts, the occasional brisket, etc. I also gradually upgraded my choices in restaurants for the most part. But I still make the other above foods staples in my diet.

Another good source of protien few consider is Chicken livers.
PM me if interested.....my wife has an amazing Fried chicken liver recipe...
I dont have them often but maybe once a month she'll fry up a few pounds as a special treat.
The healthiest liver can be found at local farmers morkets or farm co-ops. Always buy your meats local if you can afford to.

I used to go to a Chinese buffet near me that had a section that was a mandarin grill, or at least I think that's what they called it. Basically there was frozen shredded beef, chicken , shrimp and veggies and you put whatever you want on yiur plate and the guy would cook it for you right there. They also had steamed crab legs. It was $25 but I would go and bring a magazine and just sit there for two hours and stuff myself. This was back when I was bulking, injury free, and powerlifting.

To the original question, you can find whole rotisserie chickens at wegmans for $5, shoprite for about the same. You can get two meals out of that if you get all the meet off the bird!

That sounds like a tasty and affordable diet food.

Have to agree on the venison. I used pretty much exclusive venison when I was younger. I always was in phenomenal condition.
