Benefits and Risks Bio-Identical Testosterone Replacement in Men and Women

LifeXMD.com – Feb. 10, 2013 -- Testosterone is a controlled substance and is regulated accordingly by the US. Food and Drug Administration. In hormone replacement therapy, men and women receive very different, individually appropriate does of testosterone. Note that the benefits and risks of bio-identical hormones are different than those in synthetic hormones -- chemical compounds which are structurally similar to natural or bio-identical hormones, but differ slightly in composition.
