I haven’t watched the news in years. They over sensationalize EVERYTHING including the freaking weather! I just scan headlines & look into the items I’m interested in.

I have not owned a television since 96'. The biggest reason outside of all the commercials was exactly what you said. It's all propaganda. The call television shows "Programming" for a reason.

I watch Netflix, Paramount+, etc. No news, no local bs, nothing else.

Preach. I've never been a big TV guy but I would leave the news on sometimes in the background so I could understand what they wanted to program people with. Canceled the cable in the beginning of covid. Haven't missed it a bit. Just scrolling through a few headlines is more than enough for me these days.
