Arnold just announced on his IG he is raising the open bodybuilding prize to $750,000 and overall prize money of $1.5 million. He said he wants to be the leader in getting bodybuilding popular again let the others chase him.
Also it will be the bodybuilders and the stage, no fancy lights or smoke. He wants to increase attendance to the expo to over 200,000 attendees.

I went to the Arnold this year. They did a great job on keeping to the schedule even with all the different categories.

The exhibit was way too crowded. At times you could barely walk. It was hot and stuffy in the main exhibit hall. Fortunately, even with 60% of the people on juice, there were zero issues from what I saw. People were very friendly and courteous.

With that prize money you're going to get the top guys there competing. And it will likely push up prize money for the lower tier pro shows like the Texas, Tampa, New York, Chicago, Pitt, Detroit, Vancouver shows.

Let's let the O, Arnold and Dubai duke it out by upping the ante against one another for prize money, and we'll see the top guys competing against one another all the time, like the old days. And, with the top 5 guys all being relatively competitive with one another, each of these shows will be anybody's to win.

Unlike the old days, when Heath competed once a year, and we all knew he was the winner before the show started.

I know he upped Classic to $100,000 first place but have not seen the rest. Women’s wasn’t mentioned.

I doubt Tampa can increase much and Chicago isn’t having open this year. I just don’t think Tim has that kind of money to increase much without raising entry fees or upping ticket prices higher than the already stupid high they are. I mean $100 plus for finals when all it is is awards ceremony these days is outrageous.

Yes for sure. I was thinking the same thing. My first thought was out of Arnold's millions and the show's Sponsors.

IDK.. I was thinking some banker's money since Arnold is such a sellout especially the last years.
