I'm not sure I understand this. Aromatization is the process by which the aromatase enzyme operates on testosterone to convert it to estrogen. Does DHT affect the aromatase enzyme? How does it prevent aromatization?

Hey Tommy, I'm a little late with my response to this one, lol. To be honest, I'm not certain. Maybe it's broscience, but I've heard that proviron helps prevent estrogen conversion to a degree. Granted, its not nearly as good at doing that as arimidex. I incorporate proviron with my TRT regimen, and love the way it hardens me up. Night and day difference with it than without using it, especially now that I'm shedding bodyfat for the summer months ahead.

I just wanted to bump this post up, maybe someone here know that answer to Tommy's question. I'm curious too.

While aromatization and the binding of test with SHBG both effect serum levels of free test, they are two separate issues. Now proviron has AI properties and it preferentially binds with SHBG. So, where Proviron really excels is increasing free test. I would still add an AI when using high amounts of aromatizing hormones, but Proviron is still a good addition because of its ability to enhance the amount of free test by binding with SHBG. In other words, you get more bang for your cycle buck with it added in.

Plus it increases your sperm load. Not that that's important to me. Just the look on my girlfriends face. Or it on her face.....:welcome:

Am I correct in assuming that Proviron may be tough on the hairline?

I do like the way it acted synergistically with test, but I ran it no higher than 50mg.

I've heard other people say this. I ran it at a min of 50/day and up to 100 for about 2 weeks and did not face any thinning or anything. I have a full head of hair already so it wouldve been noticable if it started to thin. I kept an eye on it but never had any issues....one of those things that may affect some I would say.

It's hard on the hairline like winny is... for people who already have MPB issues. If you have no issues and it doesn't run in your family you should be fine. It's basically a weaker form of masteron.

Keep in mind also that youcan run this at 150mg ED or higher (if you can afford it) because the bioavailability is rather lower considering it's 1-methylated instead of 17aa... not as much survives the pass through the liver like it would if it was 17aa

Good point GS. I'm adding it in next week and going to start at 100/day on this run and may up to 150ish.

you and I love winny....that also, has never messed with my hair.

I'm in my mid thirties. Full head of hair. Proviron does make my hair fall out more when I use it. There's more hair on my hands after I apply my morning hair gel. It's nothing crazy but it's worth mentioning.
I u are prone to hair loss And worried about it I'd stay clear of proviron or any dht aas.

Its dose dependent, 25-50mg I didnt notice anything. At the higher range, you'll get those sides if prone to it.

The reason I ask is that I've had my hair cut very short in a crew cut for the last 15 years. I have no family history of male pattern baldness or even thinning. Because I've kept my hair so short, I was not aware of whether the proviron, winny or masteron was having any effect on may hairline. I just started growing my hair out for the first time in 15 years, and while my hairline has not receded, I do notice that my hair has thinned a bit on top. So I can't point to any one compound, but I've run all three of these compounds at very times, but never at a large dose.

would hate to say no to any of these compounds going forward....

Tommy, as long as you don't have the genes for male patern baldness, I think you'll be fine especially at moderate dosages.

So I slowly ramped up to 125mg of proviron a day over the past couple of weeks from 50mg. So far, I'm noticing much more pronounced vascularity, and I look leaner in the mirror. Nothing dramtic just yet, but defintely an improvement. Oh, and on a side note, sex lif has improved 10 fold. A little cialis and a boatload of proviron, and you're wife will be calling you superman. I feel like a teenager again at this dose!
