This is the thread to celebrate and remember the greats of the past .
To start this off I've found found some great old footage of Doug Young . In the second clip he is competing at the 1977 World Powerlifting champs benching 545 and deadlifting 710 after breaking three ribs in the squat .

New Zealand's Cathy Millen dominated female powerlifting from 1990-1994 in which time she won all five world championships IPF and at one time held the WR squat , bench , deadlift and total across three different weight classes . She's held 25 open world records and is an inductee in the IPF Hall of Fame . Her trainer Charles Poliquin credits her with a 407 lb bench at 184 although her best in competition I could find was this 385 lb bench from 1994 .

She also competed in bodybuilding representing N.Z. at the NABBA World Champs in 2000 .
