Day off training today, was 70cals off hitting 3,000 yesterday and today's looking similar. Hoping my body will start soaking them up soon.

Off to a friends place tonight to watch the All Blacks Vs Australia match. Will unwind from a busy week with a few beers and a nice bottle of red, looking forward to it. Gym tomorrow.

Bloody awesome rugby game, All Blacks destroyed them! Poor old Aussie's :D

Diet was good over the weekend apart from the beer & wine on Saturday night. Actually managed to hit 3,300cals for that day, also starting to feel like I'm getting back into some kind of rhythm with training which is a good feeling.

Some goals I'm setting for myself as of now

• Get back to benching 200
• Bodyweight up over 140 (as of now I'm 130), gain back the muscle I've lost
• Start deadlifting again

Damn man, you really are starting from scratch! You lost so much strength! So sorry to see that brother. I think we have all had out time of loss and recovery though. Seems like every time I get to where I want to be, I get hit with another major injury. Hell, right now I can feel my shoulders wanting to scream "knock this crap off or we're going on strike!". I am so close to where I want to be too! Finally happy with where I am and I can taste the injuries sneaking up on me.

No matter, I'm stubborn as a mule and just keep coming back. lol Your strength will come back fast.

Starting from scratch is exactly where I'm at Shortz, but like you say I'm sure I'll be able to pack some muscle back on pretty fast. I pretty much haven't done much in the way of training for a year, the odd few runs and gym sessions but nothing regular enough to make it stick. This was the first time in my life that I haven't had the motivation or focus to train.

In a nutshell I've had a lot going on. My Mum had a stroke/brain aneurysm then shortly after that my Dad had a major heart attack. Ended up selling my health store and got majorly stung with tax and every other type of bill you could imagine. Went into a very dark place for the best part of a year, hit the alcohol hard which is probably my crutch when I'm down. But I'm finally feeling like I'm coming out the other end and normality is returning.

I'm just happy to be alive, healthy and happy again.

Glad to see you back too, and sorry to hear about the turmoil you went through ... hate to hear about your mom and dad, and then having to sell the store as well. Damn.

I'm calling it, you'll be around 225/200/315 total in no time flat.

Cheers Chris. Not sure about the DL's, but pretty sure my bench will come back quick.

Couple of sessions to write up later today.

Good to see you back MF. Overcoming unexpected "life events" is not easy, but I know you have alot of support here on TID.

I look forward to seeing lots and lots of progress.
