Never say retire! 40 is just reaching his prime (I am 48 so that's how I know).

So I had to look he will be 39 in July. I fully believe if you train smart and train without ego you can continue for a long time.
This is why it really gets to me when people start in with the dangerous and injury riddled card !

Never say retire! 40 is just reaching his prime (I am 48 so that's how I know).

At his level, 40 is past his prime. You can't compare. Look at his WSM competitors and their age.

I was joking! Guess my north country dry sense of humor didn't shine through on this one. . .

I'm glad to know you don't disagree, I might be in my prime at 48!!!

You can still make big gains well past 48. Look at Steve Goggins. He is in his 40's and still pulls 800lbs or how bout Curtis Leslie who still squats 1k reverse band in his squat suit at 50+. If you train smart and work your ass off it's possible.

With the progress I have made the past two years, I am starting to believe this.
