With the right doc, HoLEP will allow you to piss a hole in a rock and triples bladder capacity. The down side is you lose the cum shot, but orgasms feel the same or better and erections may improve. Had mine 2 1/2 yrs ago. PSA went from just under 4.0 to 0.27 and stayed there. They removed about 45% of my prostate and it was big. My dad had a huge prostate, two surgeries. It is genetic. On TC 120 mg every 5 days and 500 IU HCG twice a week. Maybe run a little (5 - 10 mg) of var after surgeries or injuries, just enough to assist with recovery. I put up with it for years, looking back I waited too long, it was damaging the smooth muscle in my bladder. It took 4 min to empty my bladder with about 300 ml, the Mrs used to time me and make fun of it bc she'd have to pause a movie. Now I can empty twice that in 20 seconds. Game changer for sure. Plus she doesn't get a mouth full with a blow job. You can do alpha blockers, 5ARis that will kill libido and erectile function and all the herbal shit, but in the end you can either put a catheter in or go HoLEP which is the gold standard. One and done, nothing else compares procedure wise. Way better than green laser, steam ablation, TURP, etc. and far fewer complications.

I couldn’t have said it any better. I had never heard of it but scheduled a doctor’s appointment with the hopes of getting the procedure Littleguy is considering. This doctor happened to be an expert on HoLEP and teaches other doctors how to do it. He said the reason it’s not well known is doctors don’t get kickbacks for it from big pharma. He had me convinced in 15 minutes. Two tears later. Life is exponentially better.

My prostate is the size of a coffee cake. Is that normal? I'm 63.

I was about 100 grams, not quite a coffee cake but it sure felt like I had one stuck up my ass. Normal is what is normal for you.

Just joking..sort of. I think mine measured 5 x 6 cm by CT scan. If I take a magnesium supplement before bed I generally get up to pee once at 3 am. If I don't, have a good day hydrating, and I have a couple glasses of wine after dinner I am up and down every 2 hour.

Do not f*ck around with a swollen prostate or any changes to your normal pissing regiment. Also, just because your PSA level is in the normal range does not mean you can't have cancer. In addition to your PSA testing, you also need to have it manually checked (ie. the "fingerwave"). My PCP has seen men have normal PSA levels, but when he checks them manually he's felt "bumps" and whatnot which turned out to be cancer. He's also felt "normal" prostates, but when they get the bloodwork done have astronomically high PSA levels which turned out to be cancer.

Hope that makes sense?

DOES make sense. Any kind of cancer can kill us if we let it go long enough, but a few like prostate, skin, and colon are relatively easy to stay ahead of if we just make the effort.

Here's an interesting one. My prostate is normal size and PSA is normal and I have all my normal scheduled physicals and ass fingerings. I piss like I'm in my 60s. I've seen 2 urologists and had a cystoscopy.

Im 45 and have been on trt since I was around 38. I got covid a second time in 2021. Started not being able to piss normaly while I was sick. It never went away. Told my PCP about it during my yearly physical months after being sick, and he checked my prostate, said it felt normal size and no bumps or anything. PSA was normal. He referred me to a urologist and changed my BP meds to Doxisosin (sic?) saying it might help me piss in the meantime. It did help a bit.

Ended up seeing 2 urologists and had a cystoscopy. Urologists both said covid has been found to cause inflammation throughout the body - including the prostate. They think covid inflamed my prostate, but it has returned to normal size. The problem is that it didn't go back "up". It's normal size but sitting on my urethrea, and this was confirmed w/ the cystoscopy. Uro added 5mg daily cialis to the doxy. It helps a bit.

Only option they gave me was a urethreal procedure to let piss flow around the blockage from the prostate. But the uro said if I can deal with the pee stream then to deal with it as long as possible because they procedure can have ED side effects. I would rather be able to get a boner and have a piss take longer then a shit then be pissing great with a permanently limp noodle.

Truth. Also percent free is helpful. If there is any question, MRI. If there is something there, MRI guided biopsy. I don't think anyone on this board would like ADT, and then die anyway.

A wizard with a laser should be able to remove the inflamed component without causing ED, just have to find the right doc. The longer term problem with waiting is the irreversible damage that occurs to the bladder and smooth muscle. Smita De at the Cleveland Clinic is best of breed IMO. Worth a trip. If she can't fix it, no one can. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/staff/23639-smita-de

So as a personal update I've noticed that if I lay off drinking then pissing is only a minor difference from years ago. My bladder feels empty when I do go but I am urinating much more frequently throughout the day. Also if I go to bed around 12pm then I will get up around 5-6 to piss and usually up to twice more shortly after I wake with good streams.

Does using SARMS like Anastrozole help with preventing androgenic side effects like prostate growth? I cant remember if that's the case.

It definitely feels like my bladder is smaller. Also I have had some problems with the tendons in my arms so lifting and exercise has been less than I'd like in the past months. I'm not sure if that could contribute to prostate inflammation.

What DaSarge said has me thinking.....have I covered all the bases? When I described my symptoms to the doc he said he wasnt gonna do the whole ass fingering which was fine by me. He also said my bloodwork came back as not having any genetic predisposition to cancer. So it all sounded good to me.
