2013 UPA Detroit Barbell Open - August 10

I'm planning on attending this as a spectator, probably getting a UPA card (to go along with my APF/AAPF card), and talk with some of the competitors during their free time for tips/suggestions/observations/training/etc.

Hopefully will meet Clay and Shelly Brandenburg, if they're not too busy. I met his mom, grandma, and aunt at my brother's wedding a couple weeks ago.

I wish that I could have worked this meet in to my schedule. The Detroit guys are a great group and I'm excited to get back up there for Relentless in November.
If you get a chance to talk to clay - DO IT. The guy moves monster weight for a reason and he's cool as heck about sharing all that knowledge.
