Friend works in a lab and they are finding coronavirus antibodies that go back to late 2018.... so what happened? My tin foil hat says this was Chinas "soft nuke" for standing up to them...

Corona virus has been around and caused widespread infections in the past. Covid-19 is a new variant of the virus.

Correct. Don't forget that China caused an epidemic in '02 with a SARS outbreak. This isn't new. Just a new variation.

Strange how most of the viruses come from China. Maybe they want to take over the world one virus at a time

'02 was a Coronavirus, now called SARS-CoV-1. Covid-19 is called SARS-CoV-2, among other things. "SARS" really is the disease caused by the virus, "Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome".

Yeah, that was my point. This isn't the first coronavirus. I also don't see anyone being concerned with the avian flu issues popping up and if you remember they found 2 new strains back in the beginning of last year in China too.

China is the cause for a lot of the problems this world is going to face. It won't take another 18years for another pandemic to plague the world. Just wait the avian flu will mutate in that shit hole and the world will suffer from it.

Yes, and in 2012 we had MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) which is also caused by a coronavirus (MERS-CoV). First cases were reported in Saudi Arabia. Same basic symptoms as covid 19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath). Two basic differences from Covid 19. First, MERS was not so contagious that it developed into a worldwide plague. Second, much more deadly in that 30-40% of those who did catch it died.
