10 days off

Due to family commitments I have had an enforced 10 day lay off from all exercise.
i have been active in the gym and track for 10+ years, with more focus on the gym the past 2 years. 34yo
i mainly train HIT style and hitting new numbers on all lifts before the break.

question - I know it isn't a long break, but would you pick up where you left off in the gym or take a step back a bit (a couple of weeks) and building up again?

10 days isn't going to do much to you....

You can always hit high rep pushup pullup squats etc with bodyweight at home just to keep moving.

But really I wouldn't worry

When is the last time you took an extended break from the gym? The 10 days off might do you good if it's been awhile since you've taken a break.

Week off in mid march where I did body weight exercises
and before that was about a week over Xmas where I did nothing

Apart from the odd day off here and there, it's been pretty solid/regular otherwise

go to the gym and listen to your body..10 days off is no big deal.Im usually alittle stronger when i take a small break from lifting

I take 10 days or so off several times a year, and once a year I take 2-4 weeks off.
