    What was your first job?

Great life lesson, as well, bro. Your grandfather sounds alot like my dad. He taught us all that nothing is worth having if you can't earn it. My older brother and I was the constant hard workers as our oldest brother became the wanna be get rich quick dude. You know, like the Amway believers. LOL

    What was your first job?

As far as a payroll job, at 16, I worked at a McDonald's in New Orleans East. But technically as far as 1st job, I began working at my dad's auto mechanic shop at the age of 12. Well, I hung out there at 12, by 13 I began doing simple auto repairs.

    Lower back compressions (dead lifts/squats)

I had an L5 back injury a few years ago. My doctor prescribed FlexMids and in a day or two, the pain and nerve problem is yesterday's news. Now, I only feel it if I try to lift too heavy with my deadlifts. Ironically, prior to competing, I would feel left knee pains when my form is off with my...

    Memory Lane

I was a big fan of Clark during the 90s. Before internet, I was a subscriber of about 4 different magazines (none of the Weider wacky favoritism mags). I can't recall which of the mags posted a segment of Anthony Clark and, I swear, they did him NO justice. Granted, Anthony Clark was a huge guy...

    STD testing question

Thus far, I've never experienced any STD. My worst experiences came when I used to date a freaky woman who came to me with some antibiotics and claimed that she needed to take them and, because we were actively dating, I only need to have a week supply. As luck would have it, I checked clean and...

    Belts

I prefer to use what's not only comfortable to use but is also regulated to be used. Prior to using a 10 or 13 mm powerlifting belt, I was using a Nike powerlifting belt that I bought from Big 5. I was fine with it until my powerlifting coach explained that I needed to have a regulated belt in...

    Decline bench

Unfortunately, the gym where I've been training since 2005 only has one standing dipping cable machine that's usually over occupied everytime I am there. But there is a FLEX decline bench set and about one decline bench to use at any of the 2 Smith machines. Like most of you fellow ID members...

    Bluetooth headphones?.?.?

I have two pairs: Altec-Lansing and JBL. They're, pretty much, the same company since JBL stands for James B. Lansing. But both sound great. Very clear and not very expensive. The JBLs were bought from Fry's Electronics (www.frys.com), while the Altec-Lansings are sold at Walmart. Another good...

    Why am I getting dizzy?

Just another thought.... I was shopping with a close friend, who luckily happens to be a home caretaker/nurse. Suddenly as I stood in line, I felt dizzy and my right eye went blurry. I had to lean on my basket to prevent falling. My friend suggested that it either my blood pressure or low blood...
