    Straps or Not?

    After my deadlift sets, I use straps for everything back related. Doesn't make my grip weak in any way. Not once have I ever dropped a deadlift.

    I usually go 3 weeks hard, then do a deload week. Usually during that week it's very light and typically won't even touch a barbell. That's my setup when I'm in meet prep, like now. When I'm farther away from a meet, and the weights aren't as heavy, I may go longer without a deload.
