I've been searching for a couple of hours now and haven't been able to come up with anything. Ive found he had a serious substance problem into the mid 2000s but from the articles I found he had gotten his shit together since then and was doing well , I havent come across any thing about a diagnosis of any kind yet.

i think the article said after a long illness. A lot of times that means cancer. i know he started a comeback some years ago and tore his quad pretty bad.
