I hit a training goal today, and exceeded my expectations. Doing overhead press, heavy doubles, I worked up from 260 lb doubles, to 265, then got a single at 270, failing on my attempt to get a second rep. Coach says this puts my 1 rep max around 290, maybe 295 lbs. So just like that, bam! I got my first OHP goal and nearly my second one, in a couple weeks from my post where I set my goals! I don't expect the same progress on my other lifts, because we have been working for over a month, to get to this stage in my OHP training, but not my other lifts.
