My coach had me do this plan for a Friday weigh in.

Sun and Mon: 2.5 gallon water a day with high salt at ever meal

Tues and wed: 2 gallon.
Tue moderate salt and Wed no carbs and no salt at all!!!

Thurs: 3/4 gallon before noon and zero salt.
2pm 6oz water with 4oz flank steak and 2 tsp peanut butter (sodium free)
4pm same thing
6pm 4oz black coffee with same food portions
7pm 4oz black coffee

Nothing else until after weigh ins Friday morning.

This along with a natural water expellent

This is about as simple and effective as it gets.

Only thing I would add is that coffee actually has a net hydrating effect. It's tiny but it's there. Tea has been more effective in my experience.

Water loading sucks btw just wanna make sure that it's clear this sucks. Lots of pissing.

Yeah, I have never made it to the 2.5 gallons a day. I do home health therapy and I feel bad enough askin patients to use their bathroom as much as I do lol. I get to about 1.5 gallon. And I have only done this protocol twice now.

Interesting about the coffee, thanks for that.

Dandelion, Hawthorne extracts, green and black tea is what I used in the past. Good luck.
