Ok....here is the deal. My wife and I have been together since 2001, we've always had a very, very healthy sex life. When I quit cycling cold turkey a few years ago before TRT when I was simply uninterested in sex. Since TRT that's obviously changed.
My wife however has always had a healthy libedo and never done any AAS. She's 45 and isn't going thru menopause yet but she's freaking out because for some reason her libedo has gone rock bottom.
I asked her if it was me and she assumed me that's not the case and after 20 years of marriage I know when she's bullshitting me.
Can any of you ladies help shed some light on what hormonally could be the problem....or could it be psychological?
I know they make a "Viagra" for women but as a male on TRT I know PDE 5 inhibitors don't remedy sexual drive but address the Erictile dysfunction.
My wife is sitting with me now close to tears hoping some of you women can put some perspective/advice/personal experience on this issue. It's breaking my heart (not to mention my balls... Just kidding) watching her struggle.
Ask any questions you need to ask to help us solve or begin to solve this.
Thanks ladies in advance from my wife and I both.

My wife who is slightly older started hormone replacement. She uses a rub on cream 10 days a month. It helped tremendously

My wife is 41 and already pre-menopausal. Her sex drive has pretty much gone into the tank over the last year. She was always one to have 4-8 orgasms per session, now she is lucky if she gets there. Sex is no longer even in her thought process. We have to plan to have sex just so she can mentally prepare herself.

Well, she's 45, so it's likely her hormones are all wack at the moment. I'm 47 and at 44 I had 3 months of not seeing my period and thought it was menopause. However, in the fourth month I had serious menstrual cramps accompanied with thick blood clots, you'd think I was having a miscarriage. In this period I experienced male pattern baldness and I wasn't on any testosterone boosting gear. I had mood swings and sex was out of the question as I was dry as the Sahara desert. I continued my menstrual for two more years and then it stopped when I was 46 and I haven't seen it since. Libido was crushed, tits became saggy and I generally was not in a good mood. So in my opinion, it's normal at this age from personal experience. But if it's affecting your relationship, you two could go for counseling. I don't advise her to take any OTC drug other than ibuprofen for pain, as from experience, my hormones just went off the charts, even my gynecologist and physician couldn't really tell me why. And they all thought I was on roid or something. I hope this helps. Goodluck.

Quoting your post, MK, but just using it as a gateway into the whole thread.

There are doctors, and there are doctors. Patients may present with varying symptoms and causes thereof, but I'd be willing to bet the variance among different doctors' qualifications and preconceived notions as to treating patients described in this thread may be at greater variance ... and of greater or lesser worth.

Back at my house, the need is not so immediate as to seek (semi? lol) professional care, but it may be in the forseeable future, so I lurk in threads like these. Don't think we'll stumble upon more than 1 or 2 of the wrong doctors before we instead resort to the DIY I'm learning right here in similar threads, from a couple of guys in particular. We don't ignore the value of blood work, but that too can be done DIY online.

We would prefer having just the right doctor involved ... the impression I get is that finding them may be hit 'n miss.
