Other than scale and mirror are you getting any lab work done to see if any damage from this type of eating (wont call it a diet)?
There is no “deficit.” In fact, it’s pretty much thee MOST deficit free way of eating because everything nutrient wise is in such a highly bioavailable / complete form by comparison especially to plant based (so called “healthy and nutritious”) foods.

On the blood tests; carnivore (our evolutionary ancestral natural way of eating) do not generally fall within standard created ranges. And has nothing to do with assessing accurate markers of health. In other words; the ranges require greater knowledge than the status quo prescribed measures of establishment developed “health.”

I am more concerned with blood testing, I am Type 2 and have to follow what my blood work states, whether I believe in the ranges or not. If this type of eating spiked my blood sugar levels or my lipid levels I would be very concerned. So with that said no one that I have seen on this type of eating have disclosed their blood work which makes me wonder how "healthy" this type of eating really is. Now please only respond back with blood work, not another explanation on why this type of eating is so great. I am more concerned whats happening on the inside (blood work ratios).....

Clearly understood. Bottomline, irrefutably; low carb style eating, and especially carnivore are the optimal dietary styles for anyone with metabolic related issues, diabetes, etc.

So far as lipids, there is great info contrary to scare porn about total cholesterol being a threat above 200, and LDL = the devil.
The biggest problems with lipid maladies are most specifically related to both particle size, and source of one’s cholesterol values. Carb centric and heavily seed oil containing diets are THEE largest threat to health in relation to lipids.
Type 2 diabetes is very simply entirely reversible with carb restriction / control.
There’s a ton of great info both simple and in great detail about cholesterol danger dogma and myths. Here’s just a quick sample grab for you (see attached vid) of Paul Saladino — just a 10min look.
I like referring people to Ivor Cummins (“The Fat Emperor”) as well, to those who want a deep dive into lipids. A plethora of knowledge there.

You did it again, I am simply looking for lab numbers not a conspiracy theory about lab numbers. My doctor is all for me going off my diabetic meds (as am I), but not at the cost of my lipid levels going through the roof (solve one issue, create another). Looking great, feeling great yet not having any blood work data to base anything off of is not an approach I personally would use. @testboner u clearly look great on this method of eating but at what cost? Without blood work u really cant answer that question. So what am I concerned with?

1) Cholesterol ratios
2) Kidney function (all that protein cant be a positive)
3) blood sugar

As a diabetic I get a full panel every 3 months, so I know my numbers. I know how much gear I was on, pretty much what my diet was like and can make adjustments with the results of the blood work. To me its a tool to gauge where I am at. Without it, I am (in my opinion) walking in the dark like I was in my 20s, early 30s before I started taking my lab work seriously. My doctor (also a friend) allows me the freedom to pick what drugs I am on. I 2 research everything I put into me (LK insert joke). At the end of the day, I , not my doctor or big pharma, decides what I consume.

I thought Gunslinger had blood work done, or did he not post any real numbers?
I forget.

No “conspiracy theories” Bro. Quite the opposite — this is info dispelling institutional conspiracies / dogma.
This (your) confession with what I’m saying is list in semantic expression. The lab values you have in mind with regard to your perceived conception of health, are literally almost entirely irrelevant, because lab values have become nearly nothing more than medical / pharma sales pitch’s.
How about I put it this way with regard to cholesterol: There is NO ceiling on cholesterol lab values in relation to health. What is pertinent is the source (the root catalyst) of the cholesterol values.
Both Dr Shawn Baker and Dr Paul Saladino in particular (and certainly others, but those are two carnivore eating MD’s and advocates I’m aware of) have shared in writing and vids / interviews, their blood values. And along with that, provided further explanation of how and why the standardized values truly reveal next to nothing about actual health.

I didnt see it, but would like to see multiple blood work data to see if there was a common theme

Whether or not this is of any value to you, these were labs of mine from this past October. I pull labs 1-2x a year.
I’m just over 3.5 years carnivore and turn 55 years old in March.
You’ll note a significant TG elevation, as well as a slightly high VLDL value. These labs were literally drawn the morning after my cheat day on which I consumed 3/4 of a full German chocolate cake, and the last 1/4 within 2 hours of lab draw.
My TG is ordinarily / ALWAYS under 100, and VLDL (which transports TG, this it’s elevated figure here) in the 30s.
My HDL is also ordinarily (fasted labs) well into the 50s.

These are with:
200-250mg trt every 5-7 days
2 months into 200mg Mast/e every 5 days
6 weeks 50mg Drol eod
3.3iu gh daily

Question: Are you currently on metformin?
If so, have you, or would you be game for an experiment of swapping it for berberine? This is something that can improve both your metabolic / diabetes condition, as well as cholesterol values.

Question for those following:

If you felt supehealthy, but your bloodwork showed an anomaly, would you just start taking medications because of your bloodwork and a doctor telling you to?

I ask because with most things, you’re at the doctor because you’re having issues and he finds out the cause of the issues and doctors accordingly. But not the case with statins…

@FlyingDragon My dad is type 2 diabetic and is 5 days into an almost strict (spinach daily with it) carnivore way of eating. I’ll let you know how he does. He’ll have bloodwork too.

Is dad going off all his meds while on this type of eating?
