I’m in a weight loss competition at work. Last 3 years I have gained some weight but I lose quickly. I’m 6’4” and weighed at 248.6-12 days ago. I now weigh 239 and have cut out most carbs (20-30 carbs a day) and was only eating 2 small all protein and fats meals. While cutting these calories/carbs I started doing cardio and lightly lifting which lead to me being exhausted but I have since increased protein to at least 225g a day. Since this is a weight loss competition and not a look better with your shirt off competition, would I be better off focusing on cardio and cutting calories or keeping protein high and adding in some lifting? Maybe if I just lose weight I can add muscle later but I like lifting too much when I am being active!

Based on my weigh in today, I am going to focus solely on weight loss and not building muscle ATM!!!
