I'm as serious as a stroke....I read 'No More Heart Disease' by Louis J. Ignarro (Nobel Laureate in Medicine) and bought some NO & magnesium off Amazon -- my BP dropped to perfect within three days. I'll never go on dangerous statins. I just mix enough NO in my pitcher of iced tea and sip it all day long. It naturally sweetens my tea so I need no added sugar. Magnesium relaxes the veins and makes them elastic.

Write up on the book mentioned above:
Dr. Louis Ignarro discovered "the atom" of cardiovascular health--a tiny molecule called Nitric Oxide. NO, as it is known by chemists, is a signaling molecule produced by the body, and is a vasodilator that helps control blood flow to every part of the body. Dr. Ignarro's findings led to the development of Viagra. (Do I have your attention now guys?)

Nitric Oxide has a beneficial effect on the cardiovascular system. NO relaxes and enlarges the blood vessels, prevents blood clots that trigger strokes and heart attacks, and regulates blood pressure and the accumulation of plaque in the blood vessels. Dr. Ignarro's research indicates that Nitric Oxide may help lower cholesterol by facilitating the actions of statin drugs like Lipitor.

Last time I checked tid wasn't dead. Must be a member of the 20 yr olds club were things come on a silver platter or it's to much work to bother. Before internet was available I bought bill L anabolic steroids books every yr and every other steroid book available to get info . You 'boys' have no idea the ease of getting good info and supps
compared to back in the day.

"The boards" were around before I discovered them. I was getting all my information from Bill Phillips in hard copy. Discovered him in a lone article in the monthly Powerlifting USA (RIP :() magazine when he had just begun promoting MetRx with the notion that an anti-catabolism product could be as effective as anabolism products. Phillips branched out to his own monthly which was later re-named, I followed him, and only began to discover Boards World as he and TC Luoma dropped hints now and then.

I may have caught the tail end of boards activity, but I've saved the best for last and am in hog heaven right now.
I also used to walk to school in the snow, all year, and uphill both ways, btw.

Yeah on HMB, but my ancient history memories are fading fast. I remember MetRx first requiring us to buy 2 cans to get the full effect; one was called Base and the other Plus. Not sure why they couldn't have been just one product at first, although they did evolve into that later. Creatine was also being pushed, not sure if pre-MetRx or post- There was HMB, CLA, self improvement contests, Phillips and Scott Connelly splitting up, the formation of EAS, and Myoplex coming out to rival MetRx ... and I helped them amass Hundreds of Millions of dollars before I discovered the boards .

Not dead just different now

Agreed. I think it's less of a casual and trendy thing now to involve yourself with a forum. I think the casual poster or member has disappeared and you have more members that are dedicated to the craft. Lots of knowledge here and good info to glean from.

Excellent info thanks bro! I bought injectable L Arginine and started 200mg a day starting today. Going to track my BP and see if it improves

haha, no worries buddy, most of us were right there with you on the whole MM2K thing. It took me awhile to realize, and I got flamed for it back in the 90's at EF from a lot of my friends at the time:D

Here is one thread:
https://www.elitefitness.com/bodybuilding/steroids/7488.html

And if that wasn't enough, good ol' Jeff decided to put it out in separate whole new thread:

Good times. As a note, a lot of those guys also had vested interests in other things/supp's. I feel Bill (everybody called him Buttplug) meant well initially, but once the money started coming in, he crapped on the AAS community that got him there. He was a master at promotion at the time, and he got very rich off of it. I still feel he was a good guy, but got little greedy (though he gave away a lot of money, and prizes, and supps), and left what got him there, which was the drug scene.

Very good information my regiment is 1,000 Mg NO'2 , 400mg Magnesium, 100mg Potassium, and I forget how much COQ10. I will say it can make me tired, so I use 25mg Provigil as well.

L Arginine and started 200mg

Ya gotta take at least 1000-5000mg -- and take L-Citruline along with it! 5 to 1 ratio -- I take a combo of L-Arginine 5,500mg + L-Citruline 1,100mg, then magnesium separately - tend to run about 800mg, along with keeping BP in check it keeps headaches away from neck muscle tension. It's been a while since I read the book but this dose & ratio works for me. (but then again, I have a very high tolerance for drugs or alcohol)
