Traveling - does not have to be a grand trip, a weekend somewhere tranquil or visiting tourist spots where I can learn something new is nice. Also cars and motors, have been reading about lemons and common complaints on certain models recently. Gaming, although I can't afford to let myself lose some days just in front of the PC/TV. Cooking... pretty satisfying to create your very own nutritious and delicious meal.

Move to Thailand.

How cost effective would this be?...Also, how would a old, wore out, pain ridden country boy fair in such a land?...And not to forget the most important info, how could this poor ole sap make a living if he isn't up for retirement?...

IIRC you can get permanent residency in Thailand if you have $40K in the bank.

There’s lots of weirdo ex-pats there that seem to enjoy it and seem to be doing well.

Not sure about work.

As far as cost effectiveness? Thailand may provide the best living situation in the world dollar for dollar.

Last time I went you could eat well for a couple bucks a day. 1hr (non sexual) full
Body massage was about $10.

Best part: it’s the land of smiles. People are amazingly friendly. Food is dank.

No one reproduces a heater control valve for a 63-64 B body Buick. I modified this 61-62 Chevy unit for my 63. I left it bare metal to show the modification. I'll paint it black prior to installing on the car.

*$25K in the bank or $2,000/m to qualify for retirement.

Just google retire in Thailand. There’s loads of info.
