I have a friend who is moving in next door from the boonies and is extremely over weight and wheezes really bad if he does too much . And he knows a diet change and tbh a diet change might help me lol . He doesn’t want any power lifting but to be honest I don’t think he is physically capable of doing that. He just needs todo something better he takes heart attack or something. So any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

JUST needs to get up and get moving
try the 10000 steps a day first
then try the bike or mill
break him in easy

also figure out some kind of diet that is right for him

its all about diet and calorie in and out
then you can move onto the advance stuff

really try for 10000 steps a day -- you would be surprised that most don't get more than 3-4k

When I was at the store it was nothing for me to get 10k in for steps . Mainly due too I can’t drive . Neither can he . I’d say he’d be out a lot more because he will be in town vs 10-15 minutes from the closest store lol

Overall intake is key. Exercise is great for general health.....TERRIBLY inefficient for weight loss.

A full hour of moderate cardio may only burn 500 cal. Or just eat 500 fewer cals in a week and have same 'weight loss'.

Problem can be that for many people excessive cardio stimulates hunger. This makes eating less a challenge.

Focus on the guy eating healthy and bring light exercise, even walking will be great.
