I use hook grip on my first warmup set. Then I use double overhand until I get to a weight I can no longer hold double overhand. Once I get to triples, doubles or singles it's straight hook grip. I did 529 last week for 3 sets of 1. Plan was 3 sets 3-5. But I was cramping up and getting light headed. But 529 flew up. Some of the guys on team suggested I grip and rip. But it takes time to setup with the hook grip, so I can't grip and rip. I have lots of speed off the floor so grip and rip would be optimal I guess. As much as I don't want to go back to mix grip, I might mess with after my meet next month. Some of your earlier posts in this journal indicate a hook grip on some heavy ass deadlifting...
Is that still the case and if so, how is the progression on this? Hook grip is gangsta shit !
