Mines are under , 9 years ago. Before implants, chest was my strongest body part. My max for flat bench was about 185 lbs. for 8 reps at a bodyweight of about 108-110 lbs and no fancy bench techniques either. I was just starting to learn to get stronger in my bench when I had my surgery. But since then, I have not trained chest directly at all for fear as what has been mentioned; Lateral malposition. I do miss training chest but my pecs are still developed pretty good.

No, you are not. You are doing the right thing asking. That's what the forum is for. :) Better to be safe than sorry as the saying goes.
Exactly! A few of my friends that still compete, they have under the muscle as well, and they still train chest heavy. But its all up to the individual. I have thought about going back to training it, but I think of this as an investment. I do not what to screw up $8000+ . Now that I've retired from competition, I don't think about it at all (training chest).
