Thanks Yomo. I definitely did not have lats engaged properly and knew it soon as it happened. I've been hitting it with lax ball and icing. Pain has subsidedsorry to hear...any vids of the fails? ...anytime I feel strain in that area from a deadlift, the tape shows I wasn't nearly as tight as I should have been with my lats, and/or the bar drifted in front of me...make sure you roll that area out a ton with a tennis/lacrosse ball, remove as much as that tension as possible.
