I couldn't tell if that was a masculine woman, or a dude with gyno... Either way, that was a lot of weight so respect that!
Kneeling squats are a partial, kinda like rack pulls. They train a portion of the squat. In this case, you're looking for hip drive from glute activation lower back arch and upper back tightness...i am the fucking end all of broscience - HisAngriness

I think it's a woman and I've seen it before like POB said working a part of the squat like a rack pull for deads. I've never done them before.

I felt my knees explode when watching it. I dont think this is anything I would ever try but I can see where it could help when referenced that they are like rack pulls.

It's either a woman or a dude named Amy. That's not an exercise that I'd want to touch!

You wouldn't catch me doing those. You can work on hip drive with thrusters w/ bar.
If you aint Powerlifting, your doing it wrong.

Looks like a good way to blow out your lower back!

i dont understand why everyone gets off on these very odd alleged "isolation" exercises. seems to me that most of them are a good way to hurt yourself. certainly if one is a top professional in their sport than something like the above MIGHT help you bring up some weak spots as POB and RR said. but holy moly, for the average joe, NO WAY! i shake my head every time i see some youngster who weighs a buck fifty doing some stupid odd isolation exercise that puts them at risk and does nothing for them.

I would do some bottoms up squats instead of that. That much weight would be a crusher on the knees.

I get what you're saying but its not isolation it's a partial. Partials are demonstrably effective. If you have a sticking point, train above it with greater than your 1rm weight or some sort f periodized method. Examples like rack pull, board presses, bottom up squats.
Yeah you'll see some tool kid loading up a bar for rack pulls with 585 and wreck his spine though... Always a good laugh!

indeed you are correct. although one could argue that partials are an isolation exercise, not of one specific muscle but one group of muscles, cutting out certain muscles and isolating and placing more pressure others to allow them to grow or be strengthened. i look at partials as a weak group strengthening. so in my mind i am isolating out my weaker muscles and forcing them to do move of the work hence my use of the term isolation.

Does look horrible on the knees. However she doesn't seem to be wearing any back / stomach support? No weight belt? I can only imagine what that exercise is doing to her lumbar and trapezius...
Very brave or very ignorant.

Just finished training chest and while I was doing weight dips, had this intense pain in the outside of my forearm, along the bone. Almost felt like the bone was going...
