    Omlet Recipes

    It's ketogenic diet time and I'm preparing an Italian sausage and Swiss cheese omlet. So how about sharing some of your favorite omlet recipes... I figure it's quick and easy so I'm likely to live off omlets for the next few weeks.

    On a keto now... Eggs are pretty much ideal. I usually do the following combo's

    Eggs, Cheese (your fav), additional fat (sausage, bacon, spam, pepperoni, keilbasa are all good choices)

    If it's later in the day and you need to up your protein a bit, you can try

    Eggs, Cheese, additional protein (lean meat like poultry)

    Bout to mix up some eggs and spam now!

    I make amazing omelets! Not keto in the least though. Sorry.

    Cubed ham, Cubed tomatoes, chopped spinach. Heat these first. Tomatoes and spinach will cook way down so add lots.

    While this is cooking blend 4 eggs and a pour of milk and a handful of shredded cheese for two minuets or more.
    Pour this in the pan with the ham and veg. Let cook till you can fold it, or just stir for scramble. Will stay a bit runny due to cheese.

    here's a simple one. put your eggs in a shaker, add splenda (lots of it) and a bit of cinnamon. Shake the hell out of it, and cook as usual. Smells great, no egg smell at all, and is good to eat cold, great for when on the go.

    I invented an omlet recipe by accident...
    I fried one chop onion in pan and spread an egg when the onion got
    brown. Just cooked for 2 minutes and I really enjoyed the new recipe.

    6 eggs
    Large handful of spinach
    Feta
    Sour cream
    Some hot sauce

    We place all the eggs with the spinach in the "bullet" and blend. Then scramble, add the feta and a dollop of sour cream just as the eggs are tightening up near the end.

    I can always use some good recipes for eggs. I'm not keto'ing it though. I have to large amounts of carbs or I'll drop weight fast.

    4 Eggs (28g F/ 1g C/ 25g P)
    Cup of shredded Spinach (0g F/1g C/1g P)
    5 Slices of shredded salami (15g F/ 0g C/ 12g P)
    1 Slice of muenster cheese (6g F/ 1g C/ 5g P)
    Frank's Hot Sauce 1 Carb
    Saurkraut 1 carb

    Total 57g Fat/ 5g Carb/ 33g Protein roughly 665 calories.
    Change it to egg whites and a lean meat (4 oz ground turkey) looks more like 21G F/ 5 g Carb/ 42 G Protein

    Mmmmmm.....! Finally tried this this morning! Here's how I made it:
    * 1/4 cup egg whites (egg beaters)
    * Dash of milk
    * Four packets of Splenda
    * Several shakes of cinnamon

    Beat all ingredients together w/a fork -- put it in my xpress redi-set-go red grill omlet pan, cooked for 7-8 minutes. When done, served w/ a little real maple syrup on top.

    Can't believe how good this is! Thanks ritch for posting this!
