some people are a good deal more sensitive than others...if the product had adverse physical effects in the majority it just would not exist as the dominant sweetener in the marketplace with all diet soda of major branding using it , interesting and worth taking note of realy imo.
excitotoxins can most certainly affect hunger and weight control amongst other things and are certainly not good to imbibe in any quantity wherein the user notices ill effects .
Aspartame is nothing but a chemical poison. It has a methyl ester in it that becomes methanol(wood alcohol), and in the body(at 86 degrees F) this methanol converts to formaldehyde and formic acid(ant sting poison) which in turn causes metabolic acidosis.(see Merck Index,pg 143)
A neurosurgeon by the name of Dr. Russell Blaylock wrote a book titled: EXCITOTOXINS: THE TASTE THAT KILLS. his research as published in the book says that the ingredients in NutraSweet(aspartame) literally stimulate the neurons of the brain to death, causing brain damage in varying degrees. this is even written on the back of the book! he also declares that aspartame can even trigger diabetes. In August,1995, the FDA listed the following symptoms from the consumption of aspartame: Headaches, dizziness or balance problems, change in mood quality or level, vomiting and nausea, abdominal pain and cramps, change in vision, diarrhea, seizures and convulsions, change in heart rate, itching, change in sensation(numbness, tingling), grand mal seizures, local swelling, change in activity level, difficulty in breathing, oral sensory changes, change in menstrual pattern, other localized pain and tenderness, other urogenital problems, body temperature changes, swallowing difficulty, other metabolic problems, joint and bone pain, speech impairment, miscellaneous gastrointestinal problems, chest pain, other musculo-skeletal problems, fainting, sore throat, other cardiovascular problems, change in taste, difficulty in urination, other respiratory problems, edema, change in hearing, change in perspiration problems, eye irritation, unspecified muscle tremors, petit mal, change in body weight, change in thirst or water intake, inconsciousness and coma, wheezing, constipation, other extremity pain, problems with bleeding, unsteady gait, coughing, blood glucose disorders, blood pressure changes, changes in skin and nail coloration, change in hair or nails, excessive phlegm production, change in smell,DEATH, other blood and lymphatic problems, eczema, complex partial seizures, swollen lymph nodes, hematuria, shortness of breath, difficulties with pregnancy, developmental retardation in children, change in breast size or tenderness, change in sexual function, shock, conjunctivitis, dilating eyes.
Notice how the FDA likes to throw the word DEATH in the middle of all those other side-effect 'symptoms'. what a great alternative to white, refined sugar!!
