Dustin Jacoby vs. Brad Tavares official, UFC 137 again complete with 12 bouts

A late change to this month's UFC 137 event is now official, as Dustin Jacoby (6-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) has replaced an injured Tim Credeur and now meets Brad Tavares (7-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) on the evening's preliminary card.

UFC brass today announced the switch, which was previously reported by MMAjunkie.com.

UFC 137 takes place Oct. 29 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

A timetable for Credeur's return to action was not announced.

UFC 137's main card airs on pay-per-view, and though two bouts air as part of Spike TV's "UFC Prelims" special, Jacoby vs. Tavares is slated for the untelevised preliminary card.

Jacoby, 23, turned pro less than a year ago, and he's since posted six straight victories, all via stoppage (five via knockout). Five of the wins, including a recent 37-second TKO of M-1 vet Billy Horne (10-4), have come in the first round. The 6-foot-4 fighter is a former college football player.

Tavares, a semifinalist on "TUF 11," recently suffered his first career loss. The Xtreme Couture fighter opened his career with a 7-0 mark, which included UFC wins over Seth Baczynski and Phil Baroni. However, earlier this month at UFC 132, he suffered his first career defeat when Aaron Simpson bested him via lopsided unanimous decision.

With the change, the official UFC 137 card now includes:
