Gag Me With A Chicken Breast

After competing in my last show I'm sick of chicken hence the title. Training split is Back & Bi's, Legs, Chest & Tri's, Rest, Shoulders/Glutes & Abs, with dreaded cardio in there. Next week I'm starting a training camp for my new goal which is a competition called Femsport. So here it goes........

    Today’s Workout

    Training: Chest & Tri’s

    H.S. Incline Press
    DB Flies
    Flat Bench
    Medi-ball push ups
    BW Dips
    Rope Overhead pull downs
Drop Set Single Arm Cable Tri Extensions

Cardio: 45 min. stairs from hell

    Meals:

    1 & ½ c. EW, 1 c. spinach & veg. 3 fish oil caps
    ½ c oats, tbsp. pb, 30 g. pp
tilapia, green beans, macadamia nut oil
tilapia, green beans, sweet potato, mac nut oil
    steak, roasted asparagus, EVVO
    1 c. cottage cheese, 1 c. blueberries

Stuff: Helloooooooo long weekend!! Shoulder pain is still bugging me along with these bloody shin splints, I’m pushing through these workouts but weak as hell because of these injuries. Going to push myself this weekend starting with legs Saturday morning then a 45min long cardio class, Sunday’s training I will have to play by ear until I find out my game times for ball. I need to work on building up my cardiovascular stamina for my next goal, really looking forward to that training camp starting next week for femsport. This weekend is my ladies ball teams championships tournament, have 2 games Saturday afternoon and one for sure on Sunday, if we keep winning we could end up playing up to 6 games, so the weekend is going to be a busy one.

Hi MM thank you.......I'm looking forward to trying femsport out, something different from competitions on stage, plus proceeds go to cancer which is a bonus. I copied some info from the site below..........

FEMSPORT was founded in September 2000 and is focused on providing a very unique annual event which challenges female athletes and non-athletes to test their strength, agility, power, endurance, and speed. There are no pre-qualifications to compete in this one day event and we welcome a variety of both non-athletes, amateur and professional natural athletes such as boxers, wrestlers, hockey players, skaters, gymnasts, fitness competitors, models, moms, fitness goalsetters, etc. from around the world.

An appealing FEMSPORT characteristic is participants have the option of competing on a team or as an individual athlete. Event categories vary and include such challenges as Biceps Curls, Kettlbell Lift, Tire Flip, Box Jumps, Obstacle Course, Tire Pull and Tug-of-War.

Each year FEMSPORT provides a competitive but fun environment and is constantly improving this event to accommodate athletes of all types. In 2005 we introduced our first year as a “drug tested” event. This ensures a fair and level playing field for all competitors and brings an excellent reputation to all who participate.
Our goal is to provide a fun sporting event which anyone can participate in and the public can enjoy. Our high volume, public venue locations help to enhanced awareness of the natural fitness industry and our local Cancer Fund charity.

Interesting! Love the idea, and it's a great charity to support, as well.

My wife is wanting to do something similiar, or it might be the same thing. Its a Tri-Fitness competiton. From what she told me, its something like the Ms. Galaxy competition, they test your agility, do bench press, and then you compete in your 2 piece. But best of luck in the competition, sounds like fun.

I know what you mean about the chicken breast too. I ate it pretty exclusively last time I dieted, but I switched things up this last time, and only ate it 1 meal. I actually ate more eggwhites, turkey, and exotic meats like bison and ostrich.

Good luck to your wife I hope she has a blast, let me know how it goes. I haven't tried ostrich, little scared to but I have had bison, I like it with taco seasoning and make lettuce wraps with it. YUM!

    Embarrassingly enough I do not

I have a personal trainer 3x a week right now so I go in, work out and leave. Very little brain work on my part.
The guy is incredible, pushes me very hard and I am always sore. Plus I get to do more unusual basic moves I would not have done on my own.

The heavy training I used to do has subsided a bit.
I run a var cycle every early spring and go hard and heavy till about July and then slow down again.
Age is catching up as my knees are shot. Heavy squats have done them in I guess. My knees are not what they used to be and I am quite content where I am at.

I do love reading them though as it gives me ideas and motivation to eat right and stay in shape.

You don't have to be embarrassed that you don't keep one, it's not for everybody, sometimes I get lazy and can't be bothered to update, but I do enjoy reading them as well. My body doesn't let me train as heavy as I would like anymore, I don't have knee problems thankfully but I do have shoulder and lower back issues, so I understand where you are with that one.
