Guess I should make you pink then. Welcome.
What kind of comp?
Comps I have been to all need the clear banded , clear platform shoes ... Go to an adult store, and try some on and walk around in them, and if that doesn't work then go ask local strippers
Clear is the requirement, you can get them online, but would be best to buy local
If you google "clear model shoes" you can find lots of places online. Snaz75 is a common place where girls get them:
with strap:
5" Fitness Model Heels * M-BROOK by Ellie Shoes, $39.99 - Sexy Shoes, High Heels, Stripper Shoes, Platforms, and Thigh High Boots for Women
slides:
5" Sexy Clear Sandals * 508-VANITY by Ellie Shoes, $37.99 - Sexy Shoes, High Heels, Stripper Shoes, Platforms, and Thigh High Boots for Women
slide w/ some bedazzling:
Rhinestone Mule * 502-JESSE by Ellie Shoes, $45.99 - Sexy Shoes, High Heels, Stripper Shoes, Platforms, and Thigh High Boots for Women
Look for those types - they are the standard. Sometimes you see the shorter girls w/ the bigger stacks like:
6" Spike * 601-COCO by Ellie Shoes, $39.99 - Sexy Shoes, High Heels, Stripper Shoes, Platforms, and Thigh High Boots for Women
Here's another site w/ lots of the same: http://www.funkypair.com/cleardressshoes.aspx
Just make sure whatever you get is clear and at least 5". Stick w/ the basic models - don't get the hoochie mama stripper shoes because you like the fringe on them. It just distracts and looks hoochie. Make them look at your physique, not wonder where you work on the weekends.
Generally the fit is true to your regular shoes size, but note that the plastic straps on top will tend to stretch. If you can, find a stripper store locally and try them. Sometimes if you have a good costume shop or lingerie boutique they will have them as well. But those are what nearly all the girls use. I would order them quickly or get them quickly and start practicing walking in them. You wouldn't think its all that hard, but it's pretty obvious when you see ladies walk across the stage like they need training wheels on these shoes. You also want to be comfortable in them if you have to go up / down stairs on a stage as well.
A last note - because of those plastic tops, if your feet are wet or sweaty, they are hard to put on and have them sit right w/o pulling on your skin. You can use a little corn starch or baby powder to help. Don't cover your feet in it because they are still clear and that stuff shows up - but just something to keep in your bag with you as you get to stage. On show day all sorts of stupid shit can happen, one of them being no A/C back stage (given it is now summer) - which means you're already nervous and sweating. If you have to quickly shove your shoes on, or had to take them off because they were getting uncomfortable while you wander around waiting for your group's stage call.. just a thought. Also you want to minimize sweating because you're already covered in competition tan, and that stuff gets all over the shoes. You might even consider getting a spare pair - e.g. for practice at a minimum so they don't overstretch from use - but its good to keep spare everything in case something stupid happens on show day.
