Hey thought I'd post about my new project. I just built a new barn and I've built inside a 20x15 room for a home gym. I get tired of missing time with the kids at the gym we live about 15 miles from town so it gets old. I'll post some pics when it's complete. My wife and I had to compromise on equipment she does the cross fit stuff and I'm more bodybuilding geared. Anyhow I ordered most everything from getrxd seems to be decent stuff for the money I think most of its Chinese built . I got dumbells 5-100 pounds a kettle balls 9-65 pounds. 550 pounds of bumpers Two bars , rower, a squat rack/pull up rig. Two benches one flat one adjustable, A glute ham developer , and a bunch of other shit I can't remember. We are installing horse stall mats on the floor. Anyhow I'll update with pics hopefully soon

Damn, that's how you setup a home gym! The hell with piecing it together if you can afford it. Sounds like a fantastic start!

That will be great especially if both you and the wife use it. I train at home and the only drawback is that there's always another piece that you want to add.

Nice man.

It's a dream of ours to have a home gym too. I have lots of stuff in the garage but real estate is nuts here so buying a house big enough to accommodate a home gym is not feasible at the moment.

I'm pretty stoked for sure. I've been skipping gym time to finish the room so I need it badly. I bit a big bullet to buy it but we won't miss the regular gym too bad as far as equipment but I will miss the yoga pants

That's awesome!!! Good luck with the layout. That'll be a workout on its own.

I've recently been able to enjoy the luxury of a home gym myself. I don't dislike my old commercial gym - I still kept my membership. But sometimes I just don't feel like going and would rather train alone without having to leave the house.

Find out if you can do a drop in rate at your current gym, or maybe drop your rate for restricted use, always nice to get an occasionall yoga pants workout to pass up plateaus
