Brought this over a friends the other night, very very interesting brew. I believe this is the second or third year they are making this collaboration.
It's 25% ale, 45% aged in wine barrels and 30% aged in whiskey barrels. I think the one I had may have had a different mix but you get the hint. It pours dark with a nice foam head but the head in the light had a red hue to it, almost red, like wine foam. Flavor was complete, had almost the wine front with a dark raisin, coffee, chocolate back and the whiskey, you cannot forget the flavor of that barrell.
I'm going to have to buy another and put it in the basement to age. Not cheap but worth it
