James Robinson competed at the Ky Muscle Powerlifting Championships held by Elite Powerlifting Federation on Nov. 8, 2014 in Louisville Ky. James is shown here dead lifting 700 lbs. in the 50-54 year class. Lifting raw in the 220 lb weight class. Actual body weight was 212 lbs.

Oh what the hell. Now if I don't pull 710 in a couple weeks as planned I will have to quit powerlifting.

That's absolutely amazing. I've never been above 550. And that was a looong. Time ago. Impressive.

700+ pulls are always impressive. A 50+ year old guy doing it is insane.

Just proves the fact that you can lift heavy, even in our older years. Don't let others tell you any different.

That's why I like Iron Man (bench and deadlift) as part of a powerlifting competition. Gives the older folks something to compete and kick ass in.
