I posted a thread last Tuesday titled "23 y/o low test". I had blood work done and my number was 120. My doc put me on 250mg of test Cyp once monthly. Tomorrow I'm going to request to come off the trt and see if I can get him to go with something along the lines of HCG/clomid. Anybody have any experience with this with a doctor? If he just wants to put me on one or the other which one should be best to go with? And how many mg/iu would I need to take(in your opinion) of which ever one he chooses. I know his opinion will ultimately be what I'm stuck with as far as what he prescribes me. But I just know he is gonna low dose me at the beginning. If he doesn't give me what I think I need then I will just have to go the self medicating route. But would much rather my insurance cover all the cost. Just looking for opinions on this situation from you guys so I can compare his opinion to some of the experienced guys on here. Thanks.

If this is your GP ask for a referral to a specialist.

i would probably get a few vials of test and supplement the TRT with 100 mg/w if all I was interested in was TRT. Take his once a month shots and eventually he will let you do your own injection at home. Then you will have a free vial or two of pharm grade test a year. How did you end up so hypo? have you been using prohormones or anything like that?

Read his other post Glyco, he's 23, had 1 blood test and his GP put him on TRT. I would see a specialist if it were me.

He already let me do my own injection. I just went and picked the test up at the pharmacy and brought it home. But I'm not wanting to be on trt. I want to try to get my natural levels back up first

Just got back from my appt with my doc. He's sending me to a Endocrinologist. I mentioned HCG and clomid to him and you would have swore I ask his for a prescription of cocaine and that he's never heard of a male taking HCG. Whatever. I'll just have to go see the endo and go from there
